Introduction

Let me begin. I’m not sure what this is or why I have started this page. I am under no dilution that I am some talented and prolific righter. In fact the art of putting words on a page has always confused me. Spelling, grammar, punctuation, and righting mechanics have always been my nemesis. I’m sure that has been painfully clear in just these few sentences.

This has been true all my life. Growing up I alway felt I spoke a foreign language. I mean I could speak just as well as anyone. What I mean is when it came to putting characters on a page, it was a foreign landscape. My language was-and still is- art. I would more sooner splash color, lines, and shapes onto a page then words. Both have there rules and structure, but one comes more naturally to me. The rules of righting allude me. The idea of arranging 26 characters on a page in different configurations, with rule that are malleable and change on a whim, have always frustrated me.

But with the aid of technology, thing’s like spelling and grammar check, I am able to convey ideas that otherwise would be left dormant in my head. It may not be perfect and pretty and my pros may be clumsy. But my hope is I can have a place to put my musings. if there is any one who comes across them and finds them interesting, then all the better.

To explain further, my hop is to have a place to put ideas I am exploring. As of late I have been contemplating the doctrine of my faith. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The ideas I want to explore as rooted in that faith. I’m in no way an expert or do I have any authority to speak for the church. I am also not here to argue my faiths merits. These will be just my thoughts and pondering. If you find them of worth then I hope you will keep reading.

With all that said welcome to my blog "Come What May" the title speaks to the fact I have no idea what will be posted here. I will post as I am impressed to do so. "Come what may and love it" is a talk given by a former apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints named Joseph B. Wirthlen, in October 2008, during the churches semi annual general conference. It’s a good one if you feel you want to check it out. You can fined it on the church website churchofjesusechrist.org. All that to say, I don’t know what will come of this venture in to the unknown, but come what may I hope I’m ready for it.
